The journey to purchasing a hot tub can be stressful if you aren’t sure what you want or know what to expect when beginning to shop. The vast number of options and price points offered between entry-level and luxury hot tubs make it an overwhelming task to narrow this down. At Mastercraft Pool and Spa, we have something to fit everyone’s needs and the knowledge to help you find it! You typically look for three things in a hot tub: size, features, and jets. As a general rule, the more you spend, the more of these things you can have at once.

Size Difference in Entry-Level and Luxury Hot Tubs

Hot tubs come in many different shapes and sizes. The smaller the hot tub, typically the lower the price, and vice versa. If you are looking for a hot tub for use alone or with only your partner, you can get a smaller one at a lower starting price. In exchange, you can add more jets or other features to this smaller tub and make it comparable in price to a moderate-size tub with fewer jets and options. Knowing how many people you plan to put in your tub at once will help you when shopping. If you plan to throw parties or fit the entire family in your tub, you will, of course, want a larger one.

Number and Quality of Jets in Entry-Level and Luxury Hot Tubs

Hot tubs come with a varying number of jets and they range in quality, as well. The higher quality of jets your model has, the more expensive it will be. Adding more jets means you have more options for relaxing and benefits from your hot tub. Luxury models have higher quality jets (and more of them), whereas entry-level models typically have fewer jets that aren’t quite as powerful.

This doesn’t mean you can’t relax just as well in an entry-level model. If you have specific areas of your body that need pressure, check to be sure you can have a jet in that area. Doing so will give you the most bang for your buck. If you have more money to spend, more jets will be the right choice.

Features in Entry-Level and Luxury Hot Tubs

Features on today’s hot tubs run the gamut as well. With things like lighting, Bluetooth®, and fountains available, you can have your pick of the features you like. The more features you want to be included, the more luxury your hot tub is considered, and the price will rise to match that. If you want to stay within a budget, you can add a feature or two, but you may need to be more selective to stay within that plan.

No matter what you are looking for in a hot tub, Mastercraft Pool and Spa has something for you.
